I’ve heard it said that dogs don’t have long memories.

No one can tell me that’s true if you watch something like this -

Owen is VERY pleased with his new toy.  Usually when you say “Time for bed!”, he rushes upstairs, but not last night.

Instead, he ran behind the sofa, and reappeared with his toy in his mouth, and carried it proudly up the stairs.  When I arrived, I found this:

I absolutely adore this – I think it’s a wonderful descriptor of a common mistake people make…
